Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to Pace Interval Timer ("Pace"), a free workout timer run by Lizards of the Rock Pty Ltd ("we" or "us") in South Africa. By using Pace, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Pace. Parts that limit our responsibility or involve risk to you are in bold; please read them carefully.
1. Who can use Pace
You must be 18 or older. You can use the timer without an account. An account is optional: it backs up your workouts and history and syncs them across your devices.
2. Your account
You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. Keep your sign-in details private. You're responsible for what happens on your account unless it wasn't your fault. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
3. Your workouts and share links
The workouts you create are yours. You let us store and sync them so Pace can work for you.
When you share a workout, anyone with the link who is signed in to Pace can view and copy it. Only share workouts you have the right to share, and don't put personal information in workout names. Share links keep working until you delete your account.
Without an account, your workouts are only saved in your browser. They can be lost if you clear your browser's data or lose your device.
4. Health and safety
Pace is a timer, not a medical or fitness advice service. It can't tell you whether an exercise or workout is safe for you. Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise programme, especially if you have a health condition. You exercise at your own risk: stop if you feel pain, dizziness or unwell.
Timers and sounds can be interrupted, for example if your phone is muted, locks or closes the browser. Don't rely on Pace where precise timing matters for your safety.
5. Using Pace fairly
Don't misuse Pace. For example, don't try to access other people's accounts or data, disrupt or overload the service, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
6. A free service
Pace is free. We may change, pause or stop Pace or any feature. Where we reasonably can, we'll give notice first so you can keep a copy of your workouts. We aim to keep Pace running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
7. Our responsibility to you
As far as the law allows, Pace is provided "as is". We're not responsible for indirect losses, lost data, or injury from exercising with Pace, except where caused by our gross negligence or deliberate wrongdoing.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer protection law, including South Africa's Consumer Protection Act, where it applies to you.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, if the change is significant, tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using Pace after a change, the new terms apply.
10. Law and disputes
South African law governs these terms. If there's a problem, please contact us first and we'll try to sort it out. If you live outside South Africa, you keep any protections your local law gives you that can't be changed by agreement.
